Interpretation of Landscaping Guidelines
A guide for Single Family Homeowners
- Landscaping standards will be enforced between the months of April and October.
- For best results, best seeding dates are August 15 – September 1 and March 1 – April 1.
- Possible seeding dates: July 25 – Sept. 15 and Mar. 1 to May 10
- Grass shall be maintained as “Tall Fescue”, the type originally planted by the builder.
- Planting of trees and shrubs on the property of town homes requires approval by the HOA Board. Any trees, shrubs, and plants planted by the resident of a town home shall become the permanent responsibility of the current resident of the property. All trees, shrubs and grass on single-family lots shall be the responsibility of the current property owner.
- Seriously diseased, dying, or dead trees and shrubs on any single-family lot, or those specifically planted by the past or current owner of a town home must be removed and replaced within thirty days.
- Bare areas must be replanted or re-sodded within 30 days, and include: dead or dying trees, bushes, shrubs, and grass.
- Grass height shall not extend more than 8″ above the soil line.
- Grass edging must be kept within 2″ of sidewalk and driveway edges.
- Bedding material such as pine straw, cedar chips, mulch, etc. must be maintained with a fresh appearance. Weathered, or missing bedding materials must be replaced within 30 days.
- Any tree removed from the planting strip between the street and sidewalk, must be replaced with one of the same species and similar caliper.
- It is the goal of this interpretive document of the Anthem community covenants to provide for a standard and uniform high-quality appearance of the neighborhood. Both single and multi-family residences will be held to the same standards of appearance and upkeep.
